Conversation between me and my two year old niece:
me: are you a sweetie?
2 y/o: no.
me: are you a cutiepie?
2 y/o: no.
me: are you cute?
2 y/o: no, I'm just younger than you.
me to my sister: Can I have a sweet please?
2 y/o: *sagely* Yes. But first, you have to finish all your food.
2 y/o to my friend: Can you come to my birthday party?
my friend: haha. yes. When is it?
2 y/o: the third day of december.
me: can i come?
2 y/o: ummmm. errrrr. ummmm.
me: *put off by the hesitance* I'll bring you a present....
2 y/o: yes!!

Your niece is extremely clever, as shown by the first conversation. In my experience, most two year olds would look blankly at you if you said that.
